Strengths:
Muzuki is a skilled witch capable of shapechanging, growing and manipulating her hair, creating poison out of people's hatred and envy, dark magic, bewitching people, flight, elemental control (fire) and illusion. She is cocky, confident and self assured. She wants to please Lord Kira the most and wishes to over throw the current Shogun and put Lord Kira in his place where she can then rule at his side.

Dark magic- She can influence people's minds, making them see and hear things that are not there (illusions) or bewitching others, so they are cursed with blindness and immobility.

Poison making- She can take someone's hatred and envy and pull it from their bodies and transform it into poisonous spiders.

Hair growth and manipulation- She can move her hair independently in snake-like clumps, growing it out and using it like prehensile appendages.

Shapechanging- She can take on several forms, from a snow flurry to a fox or a Japanese Dragon. Her transformations are mercurial and fluid occurring almost instantly.

Fire- If she didn't sound OP already, she can also summon fire and project flames, making things burst into flame around her, or fanning flames with her breath to make them bigger (if in her dragon form)

Mind games:
Infiltration, deception, and seduction- Mizuki can infiltrate past most defenses with relative ease. She can manipulate others into divulging secrets and is capable of seducing others with words and actions.

Flying- Mizuki can fly as a serpentine current of air or a long swath of silk and as a Japanese Dragon

Divination- Osteomancy, the ability to predict someone's fortune reading bones.

Flaws:
Appearance- No matter her form Mizuki always has one blue eye and one brown eye. She almost always appears as white in her shapeshifted forms as well. Unless she is a swath of silk, then she is usually green as her preferred color.

Witch- Those skilled in the world of witchcraft and spirits or who are Oni will also sense that she is more than what she appears to be.

Territorial/Jealous- Mizuki is territorial of what she deems as hers. Sharing is not something she does easily, even when ordered to do so. She will try to manipulate events towards her favor if she can.

Doomed to Failure- Mizuki is cocky but is also prone to failure. Most of her plans end up going awry one way or another. While she is a good spin doctor telling people what they want to hear, she still ends up having her plans fail from time to time.

Bound by her word: if she is made to promise something she will not act against the letter of the promise. She will naturally try to work around it or turn it to her advantage.

Mizuki likes strong, dark and powerful people with ambition and even murderous intent. Hatred and envy are weapons she employs to poison the minds of others. When she gives her loyalty, it is lasting so long as the person she serves treats her with respect. She likes being in control and is not afraid to tease and torment those who are powerless. She is only loosely obedient or subdued in her behavior. She knows when to bow and act submissive, but that is exactly what it is: an act. Mizuki is also very sexual and uninhibited which marks her as more common born.

If her plans go awry, Mizuki will regroup and try a different plan or try to work the outcome until it is favorable for her. She will also council other to follow along with her plans. She does not get flustered or perturbed easily, even if things do not go her way. She is also vindictive and cruel, happy to kill anyone to accomplish her goals.

Kai earns her animosity at the very beginning because he thwarts her original plan to have Lord Asano killed by a forest creature. She might also not like that Kai can sense who or what she is, which also makes him a threat to her operating in secret.

Lady Mika earns Mizuki's ire because Lord Kira seems smitten with her and fully intends to keep her as a wife who runs counter to the desires and plans that Mizuki possibly has for him. After all, Mizuki did say: Show me your courage. Give me your heart. After this, there is no turning back. You are bound to me, and I to you. Rivers of blood and mountains of corpses will not stand in our way. Nor the tears of widows. Find your envy and hatred and I will give you all you desire. which shows that she considered them bound to each other. Beyond that, she continually picks on Mika and torments her belittling her about her love for a half-breed.

It is also shown that Mizuki is overconfident in her abilities, especially after a trap is laid for the 47 Ronin in which she thinks she kills their leader Oishi. She presents Oishi's sword to Lord Kira with a smile, telling him that Oishi is dead, and the ronin are no longer a threat. Although her trap was well laid (she made one of Oishi's men lead the others into the trap) She did not double check that it was, in fact, Oishi who was dead. Another piece of evidence of either her over confidence or neglect is when she was doing an osteomancy reading for Lord Kira. She either told him a lie that he would be victorious, or she was unable to conceive that they would fail.

Venturing a little into Headcanon land:
Part of Mizuki's motivation for the way she acts and for her loyalties to Lord Kira could stem from her being a Kitsune with Lord Kira being the Kitsune-tsukai ( the person who controls the kitsune). Why a Kitsune you ask?!
1. Fox-witches are the most common kind of witch in Japan.
2. A lot of Mizuki's abilities overlap with that of a Kitsune.

THAT SAID, Kitsune who also enter into the services of a human/man it almost always becomes a force of evil to be feared. They can be ordered to do a great number of things in the employ of a Kitsune-tsukai including the possession of their master's enemies.

This also might explain why Lord Kira will not punish Mizuki for her failures because in doing so it can break the contract with the fox spirit or inflict the wrath Kitsune upon them. The kitsune are usually beautiful women often become lovers or wives of the men they favor. In many ways, this depicts how Mizuki treats Lord Kira. She views him as hers, possibly even loves him and also cannot act against his wishes. For example, She promised Lord Kira that she would not harm a single hair on Mika's head but then told Mika that she could not be held responsible if Mika chose to take her own life.

game plans

Starting Faction: Warlord
Goals: Have fun. I'd like to see how the game pans out and what happens between the factions. Everything is fair game right now. Mizuki of course wishes to growing power and fame. Lord Kira is dead So shee needs a new lord to serve and new goals to meet.
